Lately, Republicans seem unable to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. You can slice it and dice it any way you want to: Rudy is not a conservative; he is a RINO. And all those making excuses for him simply because they are afraid of Hillary are missing the point: They are not different enough; they agree on too many issues. We need a candidate who is distinct, who can articluate conservative principles and who can successfully debate Hillary (or Obama or Edwards or any other liberal) as to why our philosopy of free markets, constitutional government, and liberty (no, democracy is not the same thing) are superior to any other. Rudy can't because he doesn't believe it; neither do McCain or Romney.

Few running now can. Newt can. Put your support where your principles are and stop settling for second (or third) best.
