Dear Sirs,

This headline and article is outrageous. Al Gore and his family spend more money on energy because it costs more to run energy from green sources. The assertion that because an energy bill is higher means someone is using more carbon-based fuel is just wrong.

When you run this story with all the information about the high cost of his family's energy bill at the front of the article and the explanation for the increased cost at the very end of the article, which you know very well is hardly ever read, is scurrilous and you should be ashamed of yourselves. I understand that Al Gore is a serious man and a serious threat to the neocons. I hope you stop positioning yourselves with that wing of our political spectrum.

I would like to have seen this article lead with "A Tennessee front organization for the right-wing think tank American Enterprise Institute released information today that is misleading the public about Al Gore and the cost of going green."

That'll be the day.
