Mr. Akasie says nothing about the large number of American Anglicans who disagree with the Episcopalian majority. Furthermore, African Anglicans are not just sitting back, they are supporting those Americans who continue to believe in scripture.

Reporting this as American arrogance is way off base. It's a split over belief, with many Americans on the other side of the issue.
