Are you sincerely asking us to believe that Corporate America values intellectual skills? It merely uses this argument (that the American worker is below par in math and reading) as an excuse to get cheaper help under the H1-b visa program or to outsource the work enitirely. I know many brilliant people who have seen their jobs disappear for this reason -- folks with near perfect SAT scores.

As Adam Smith observed, "The interest of the businessman is contrary to the interests of society."
