As someone who just witnessed a trial firsthand out of the Brooklyn da's office I think Roland Thau may have a point. It is more than likely that there was excupatory evidence that was withheld by the Brooklyn DA 's office . The assistant DA's (in Brooklyn) are all persons with questionable moralities who are willing to take ANY measures and throw ethics and morals to the wind to obtain convictions. In their minds, the conviction is much more important than the actual guilt or innocence of the defendent.
