Mr Gardner,
In an otherwise fascinating article, how could you not check your facts correctly, and refer to Zoroastrians as "pagans"? Your editors are also to blame. Check any reference guide and you will find that Zoroastrianism is credited as the oldest surviving monotheistic religions. As in, not pagan.

Please issue a correction.,
