The US has indeed told a lot of lies but at least our government is reasonably transparent. Contrast to Russia- perhaps the most closed and corrupt government with any real world power- and the US is a shining beacon of accountability and stability by comparison. When our President's lie, they carry public shame and stigma as liers for the rest of their lives and become laughing stocks, e.g. Johnson, Nixon, Clinton and Bush II. When a Russian President lies about, say criminallay prosecuting a political rival, he gets to hand-pick his successor. American foreign policy is flawed but no other hegimon has produced so much peace and discipline to the world order as the US.
