People know very little about the owner of B&H Mr. Herman Schreiber, and that is because he keeps away from publicity. He hates publicity and fame. But i think knowing this person will help understand his succes. Mr. Schreiber is a multi millionare that lives a simplier life than most of the middle class americans. Up until about 10 years ago he lived in a small rented apartement on the third floor. The house he lives in now he bought from a buncrupted, former wealthy person, who needed the money to get back on his feet, and he could not find a buyer, because the house is across the street of a wedding hall. So in order to help this person out Mr. Schreiber bought his house. Now, listen to this! When he moved into his new home he did not buy a single piece of new funiture!!! He brought the furniture he has had since he got married from his old apartement, into this new house.

Mr. Schreiber does not own a car, nor does he have a chauffer. He travels with public transportation. He flys in economy class. Wears the most simple clothing. Always buys the most simple food.

Mr Schreiber believes that being wealty is a gift from God. and is not something you should show off with. He once told me "look at all those middle-class people, are they lacking joy? Do they look unhappy to you because the don't drive nice cars? Because they don't own a house? All these things have nothing to do with happines and joy. So what do i need it for?"

So the question coming up is: Where does the money from this $700 million bussiness go? The answer is: CHARITY!!! "Thats what money is made for" Says Herman Schreiber.
