I have not seen the film as yet , however the book is excellent in nthat it approaches the famous Hannibal from a new perspective. It's like knowing the ending and then proceeding forward to find out how a story started. A recent book was written that way and my first imporession was that since I already knew the end , why would I care how it started, but I did learn to care so that from back to front did work well.

Hannibal Rising reminds me of the aforementioned book (except I can't remember the name of the book)and we squeeze yet anothet book out about Hanniabal. And another film. Is it like the first two films ? No and we don't need a third one. What we needed was what we got with Hannibal Rising , a fresh mystery.
