Actually, the answer is straightforward. Mayor Bloomberg is the Lisa Simpson of New York. Let me explain. In one of Fox's "The Simpsons" episodes, Lisa commented that the second amendment was a relic of the past with no conceivable reference to contemporary America. Of course, no one bothered to ask her what other amendments in her opinion had outlived their usefulness and so could also be ignored with impunity. Since we already know the Mayor's opinion with respect to the second amendment—an opinion he shares and may even have acquired from little Lisa—perhaps someone could ask him what other amendments he finds obsolete and so will not honor.
