The Senate's Two Cents

Submitted by Reverend Rock, Feb 7, 2007 02:02

The question this article fails to address is this: If in fact this Iraq mission is futile, what is the Senate's responsibility? If this war has been so mismanaged by our current commander-in-chief that it cannot be successfully concluded, what are the responsibilities of checks and balances? This is no time for empty patriotic rhetoric. If that's all the Republicans have to offer, then they didn't lose big enough last Novemenber. But we the people can correct that in a couple of years--and we will.
