Hotel Capacity Soars in New York, as Downtown Surges

Submitted by Alex, Feb 1, 2007 15:59

The 2005 trend you noted (in Hotel Capacity Soars in New York, as Downtown Surges) of hotels closing and being replaced by limited service hotels with fewer employees is interesting. Is this trend continuing? What backlash can be expected by in terms of zoning and other restrictions? Is this happening in other regions of the US. (My client is a limited service hotel brand so I am curious)

Thanks for any feedback
