The point that Grady was trying to make is not of the cities themselves but our twisted views of them, how Hollywood (how dare we take credit for making movies) instils a view of fiction not fact.

The movies that actually portray life in L.A are more like Crazy/Beautiful, requiem for a dream and Crash, That is reality just as much as Dr. 90210. We all don't have squeaky lives even if we've partied with 'the stars'.

Let's stop regurgitating false images of fantasy cities and show it like it is!
