Santiago Calatrava, Natalie Portman, Sarah Jessica Parker, Narciso Rodriguez, Carolina Herrera, Anne Bass, Alexandra Kotur, and Paul LeClerc were among those who supped on the above menu created by Harlem-based Acquolina Catering for New York City Ballet's spring gala. The two soups were served in shot glasses, next to a petite salad. The Ossobucco was generously portioned. The sorbets were shaped into fruits -- berries, pears, etc., but were left untouched by most guests, who took to the dance floor. The dinner took place on the Promenade of the David H. Koch Theater after the world premiere of "Why am I not where you are," choreographed by Benjamin Milliepied (Portman's beau) and "Namouna, A Grand Divertiseement," choreographed by Alexei Ratmansky. The graphic on the menu is a detail from a mechanical drawing by Calatrava; it echoes one of the sets that the architect designed for the spring season. The gala raised $1.5 million.
