The director of the Berkshire Museum, Stuart Chase, at the National Academy of Art Wednesday night, 5:15 p.m.
The marathon RUNNING is done, but the marathon of fund-raising in New York City is definitely far from over.
Wednesday night started calmly enough at the National Academy of Art, where supporters of the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield, Mass. gathered to view some of the paintings the museum has loaned to the academy for its Asher Durand exhibit (they're gorgeous!)
And then it was off to the galas... first the Jewish Museum, then MASS Moca's event, then BAM's event, all of which are covered in my column in the weekend edition of the Sun.
Here's what you really want to see - the photos from the events:
At the JM
At BAM
At MASS MoCA
Boy will I be thankful when Thanksgiving arrives: I love turkey and cranberry sauce but right now all I'm thinking about is that I don't have to take photographs or report about my family's gathering. Actually, there's a lot to look forward to before then... Alvin Ailey's dance for a 1000+ movers and shakers, the opening night gala of the New York City Ballet season, Dia, the Moth Ball, the Big Apple Circus, Collegiate Chorale... yup, it's a while til I'll be eating turkey.
