At the Whitney's fall gala, women in long gowns teeter through the Picasso in America exhibit ... Career Transition for Dancers presents a concert and supper with Liza Minelli, Sutton Foster, and ABT dancers performing ... and a few thousand others tuck into charity dinners for the League for the Hard of Hearing, Project ALS, the National MS Society, the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, the Acting Company, and the American-Scottish Foundation, to name just a few. The biggest spectacle will be taking place at Tiffany for the unveiling of the 2007 Blue Book, a catalogue of sorts featuring super luxe jewelry designs, for example, a 27.19-carat emerald-cut diamond on a diamond necklace of 28 carats. The entertainment: Tony Bennett. On the guest list: Dustin Hoffman, Jane Krakowski, Michelle Williams. All over town, it's a night to sparkle.
