Thompson Set to Pre-Nounceby Ryan Sager
The Thompson campaign will hold a conference call for supporters today at 4 p.m.*, with political director Randy Enwright. Thompson-connected sources say the call is supposed to discuss what's going on in the next 12 or so days, with an announcement of some kind likely to be set for next week (which is what's been going around for a while now). The announcement is likely to take the form of a video — echoes of Hillary Clinton, though I'm sure they don't dig the comparison — followed by some barnstorming. If true, all of this comes not a moment too soon, as folks who are up for grabs are ready to break for the Romney campaign (if they haven't already) on account of Mr. Thompson's numerous delays. *CORRECTION: That call seems to be at 4 p.m. Changed above.
