Gore's the Oneby Ryan Sager
Who knew Roger Stone had a blog? Well, the veteran political strategist and Nixonite does, and he's put together a great little chart comparing Nixon's career path to that of former vice president (and, yes, former next president of the United States) Al Gore. For instance, which one told the Associated Press he had "no plans to run for President"? Eerie.
Seriously, though, the Nixon parallels have been obvious for years, but this is the most complete rundown I've seen. Mr. Gore could clearly turn the race upside down if he got in, and probably win it. Heck, how's that for an off-the-cuff prediction on a Wednesday afternoon? I hereby preemptively distance myself from it.
